Congratulations again to the South Tees NHS Trust’s Nephrology and clinical effectiveness teams for winning the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement award at the Academic Health Science Network event (NE) for their ongoing work in reducing patient harm from Acute Kidney Injury in collaboration with CRAB Clinical Informatics.
The team pipped a number of worthy contenders to the top award by demonstrating both clinical patient improvement through a sustainable change towards a culture of quality assurance involving all stakeholders, but importantly also demonstrating in year cost savings and a significant return on investment of over 700% to the Trust.
S Tees and C-Ci are collaborating with other NHS Trusts in the NE region to develop their own pathways and benefit from the learnings from the initiative.
