In the wake of the reported cyber attacks on the NHS on 12th May, which is currently believed to have been caused by malware spread through Windows Server Message system affecting 16 NHS organisations’ networks, CRAB took the precaution of closing off all links to the NHS N3 network when the cyber attack was first reported last Friday.
We have now reconnected CRAB systems to the NHS network having been given assurances by NHS Digital that it is safe to do so.
We are cognisant that NHS Trusts affected by the cyber attack may be unable to submit data to CRAB due to ongoing IT security investigations/ upgrades. Accordingly, we will temporarily postpone issuing monthly reports until this issue is resolved at a Trust level.
